𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 10/20 Noticed blade painted in his kennel. Very aroused with dilated pupils and panting heavily upon approach. He was jumping on kennel door and I was unable to leash due to being jumpy and covered in feces. I opened the divder and aloud him to go out into the outsdie portion of the kennel. He runs back and forth with his mouth open and tongue out. Seems to occasionally get vocal. 10/19 This morning, I noticed that Blade started to paint in his kennel overnight while displaying the following behaviors/body language: jumping on kennel door, vocalizing, and panting while holding dilated pupils as well as red eyes. After leashing, dog began to pull until he went potty in the grassy area. Afterwards, I managed to redirect his attention a few times using treats as well as guiding him back into his kennel while doing so. Throughout the day, she does still jump up to take a peak over his kennel door and gets vocal when other dogs to as well until treats are tossed. 10/18 Approaching kennel, noticed that Blade kept banging his food bowl until it would fall on top of his water bowl resulting in him not having access to water. I removed it after he was done feeding and noticed that he still held the following behaviors/body language throughout the day: Jumping on the kennel door with dilated pupils, open mouth, slight helicopter tail, and non-stop vocalization. I was able to redirect his attention with treats but he would begin to do so again after another person would walk by his kennel or the kennel door would creek open.
Don't adopt just because you feel sorry for blade!
Adoption should be a well thought out decision, it's a lifetime commitment.
