About johnny cash: A Foster Writes: Johnny is an incredible and loving pup and deserves an amazing home! He's incredibly lovable and lights up the face of everyone he meets. His favorite things include back scratches, meeting new friends (human and doggo) and eating leaves off of bushes in the dog park.
Johnnys go to mood is couch potato but perks up the second we start playing with him. He seems happy to match the energy levels of others; its like having an adorable pup and a cute and mellow old dog all in on adorable package. He was definitely a starlet in his previous life. This pup cannot walk down the street without turning heads and getting oohs and ahhs from passerbys. From his silky coat, effortlessly cool stride and gargantuan head that's enchantingly too big for his body, he steals the show everywhere he goes. Johnny's favorite destination is the dog park.
He plays great with other dogs large and small but also sometimes likes to wander off on his own and stare at and eat plants. Johnny cannot go to the dog park without making his rounds to the humans and getting back rubs from everyone. Sometimes he finds a new favorite human friend and sits at their feet for awhile before moving on to play more. He also loves to chew tennis balls and has learned to chase after them (we are still working on the retrieving part!).
Hes generally so well behaved at the park that I can sit down and bury my head in a book and not have to monitor him too closely. As anyone does, he loves humping and being humped. Generally the dogs either both enjoy it or work it out on their own, but every once in a while I will pull him away from a dog that does not seem to be enjoying the humping. (He never tries to hump humans or objects.)
He has not spent extensive time with children, but he loves all the kids he meets on the street. He seems to understand the need to be a little more gentle with small humans. However, he can get a bit riled up every once in a while when we start playing rough with him. He never means any harm, but every once in a while we need to scold him for playfully getting nippy, though generally reducing our energy level is enough to get him to mellow down too. Johnny is well house trained and rarely has accidents inside.
Hes also usually pretty good at letting us know when he needs to go out getting super hyper and/or chasing his tail around are telltale signs. He knows sit, down, and stay, and follows our commands well. He can be somewhat of a puller when out for a walk but has gotten much better and usually cools down with a gentle scold or tug on the leash. Johnny has come to be the love of my life and deserves nothing less than an incredible home. He has so much love to give and brings so much light into the lives of those around him.
