Her puppies were not in the system by the time she was on the 1/15/25 euth list. She was adopted, but she has since been picked up as a stray again on 3/24/25. She has been described as super sweet! She greets staff excitedly, licking their hands and face before they leashed her! She walks on a loose leash out to the runs where she plays along the fence with neighboring dogs and she allows pets! She is also already spayed and she is heartworm negative. Please be the person to give her the loving, forever home that she very much deserves! 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒 has been placed on the euthanasia list for ?LOS 15+ Days.? Her life should not end in the shelter for that reason. 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 open up your heart and home to 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒! Please also pledge, if you are able, using the link in this post, so that rescues have the funds they need to continue their important work. 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 12/13/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE (INTAKE): STRAY FEMALE BLACK DOG IN BACK YARD HAS HAD PUPPIES AND DIGGING THRU THE DOGS IS STLL COMING INTO HER YARD AND HAS HAD MORE PUPPIES 12/16/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Super sweet but a bit timid. When I approached her kennel, she was sitting in the corner with low head and slow wagging tail. I easily leashed her and she walked out with the same body language. While outside She stood next to me with neutral face and body. I squatted and began to baby talk her, She got closer and allowed me to pet. She responded well to baby talk and then walked loosely back inside. 12/29/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Excited and happy as i approached, Donna licked my hands and face bfore allowing me to loose. 1/3/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, Donna comes to me slowly with low ears and tail sway as I babytalk to her. She walks out gently looking back at me several times to and from the run. 3/30/25 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Very easy leash her up and walks with her too. She takes treats and walks with loose leash. She wagging her tail with the baby talk and she was relax in the runs. 4/3/25 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Donna greets me at the kennel doors with a gently wagging tail and calm demenaor. She lets me leash her and walks loosely to and from the potty yards. Inside the potty yards she can be seen playing with her neighbors through the fence.
