He is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical: Geriatric, heartworms, URI and abnormal gait ddx: possible hip dysplasia or OA) ? HN ends 04/09" The shelter will help with heartworm medication is he is adopted through them. This older guy needs a new, loving, committed family of his own or a foster family who will give him the love, care, security, attention and the chance to live out his remaining years surrounded by love. 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 4/6/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Rocky is quiet and relaxed in kennel Once I leahs him up he is very strong and forward on the leash . I tried to toss dow treats , he did not care for them and continued going forward. Once we got outsidse I had to stop by holdong the fence due to him not wanting to stop. Same thing going back to kennel. I wlll be placing on adopt eval tomonitor behavior. I will try to walk with more high end trwats such a chicken to see if it helps. 4/6/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Rocky had been covered throughout the day once I marked him adopt eval. I walked into my row after noticing customers walking through. I noticed Rocky was low growling as the customer was leaning and looking over his cover getting closer to dog and he began to get louder growling. I then noticed customer fist his hand up and began to lunge towards dogs in a retaliation making the dog more forward towards him. I asked the customer to not provoke the dogs. Customer went on to ask why dogs are covered and why do they low growl. I asked him please dont provoke the animals , he stated the dog was low growling towards his girl. I went to the kennel and tried to coax Rocky who I have never heard him growl before.
