Luar has been friendly with shelter staff but has displayed some kennel reactivity towards other dogs-see notes below. He also has an injury to his left rear paw-see notes-he is scheduled for x-rays tomorrow, 4-6-25. Please let us know if you can help Luar, he is available immediately. Thanks! Walk up to the kennel, Luar was laying on the floor in front of the kennel door. Once I open the kennel door, he got up, place the leash on him and started walking out of the kennel. Luar walks well on a loose leash to and from the dog run. During am cleaning, Luar escaped his kennel and was brought back to his kennel. When passing his kennel with another dog on leash, he low growled toward them after they sniffed toward him. He walked with a semi-tight leash, not treat responsive, tail swaying, ears up, panting. Once back in kennel, he sat for treats. 📝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 𝐋𝐔𝐀𝐑 was picked up as a stray on 3/26/2025 after it was reported there were 4 dogs on the construction site of a local high school that were becoming a hazard and a nuisance. 𝐋𝐔𝐀𝐑 is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Heartworms, Left Rear Injury ? Femur Displaced Healed Fracture/Shrapnel left ilium area) X-rays Attached." 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 3/26/2025: INTAKE: 4 dogs on construction site becoming a hazard nuisance to workers across from Sterling Aviation High School. 3/31/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Walk up to the kennel, Luar was laying on the floor in front of the kennel door. Once I open the kennel door, he got up,place the leash on him and started walksing out of the kennel. Luar walks well on a loose leash to and from the dog run. 3/31/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: During AM cleaning, Luar started hitting against the divider and barking. 4/5/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: During am cleaning, Luar escaped his kennel and was brought back to his kennel. When passing his kennel with another dog on leash, he low growled toward them after they sniffed toward him. He walked with a semi-tight leash, not treat responsive, tail swaying, ears up, panting. Once back in kennel, he sat for treats. 4/6/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Luar was easily leashed and walked semi-loosely with a swaying tail, ears up, open mouth.
