𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical (URI, Heartworms, Dermatitis), Behavior (timid, will freeze in place when leashed, takes a few steps but then freezes again when other dogs forward bark at her)." 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 3/26/2025: INTAKE: loose dog. 3/31/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Dog was in kennel laying down. When I approached he did not get up but turned to look at me. I placed the leash and he slowly got up and followed me, on our way outside he kept stopping so I had to get behind him. Had had a neutral face and body. I took him outside but he was not interested, he just stood behind me with low head. 4/2/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: When I approached her kennel, Negra was sitting in her bed. I leashed her and she walked on a loose leash close to me with her head low. She stopped a couple of times, but I crouched down to pet her a bit and baby talked to her then she would start walking again. While in the run, I pet her for a while. When walking back inside, she was walking a lot more continuously and would start walking again just with baby talking. She was calm and quiet in her kennel throughout the day. 4/3/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Sable greets me at the kennel door with a uneasy demenaor. She lets me leash her and gets up off her bed hesitantly. She walks loosely with the occasional Stop to examine her surroundings then continues walking. She walked as described to and from the potty yards. She can be seen relaxing quietly in her kennel throughout the day. 4/5/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: When I approached her kennel, Sable was laying down in her bed. I walked into her kennel and leashed her and she slowly walked out on a loose leash. While walking, she stopped several times, but if I pet her and baby talked to her she would start walking again. She also walked better when I walked slowly next to her instead of walking ahead of her and calling to her. She only stopped a couple of times when walking back inside. 4/6/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Sable was curled up on bedding when I apporached her kennel. I went in to leash her and had no issues once she walked out she took only a couple of stpes then froze in place. Another dog was forward barking towards her when she did freeze. She ran back into kennel due to dog and being scared.
