She was then adopted on 2/25/2025 to then be returned to BARC on 3/8/2025. 𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐀 is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Dermatitis of Ventral Abdomen and Dorsal Rear), Behavior (when approached in kennel is barking, dilated eyes, pursed lip, jumping on the kennel door, tense body forward barking)." Please adopt, foster, or rescue 𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐀 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 2/20/2025: INTAKE: Alief Animal hospital has an abondoned husky. 2/20/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Aproaching kennel dog is growling, tensed body, whale eyes. 2/21/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, dog was standing at the front quietly with neutral face and body. I easily leashed and she walked out with relaxed body. She walked well on the leash and while outside she stood next to me and calmly looked around. Her entire time outside she remained calm and walked loosely on the leash. Coming back inside she easily went into kennel and i safely removed leash. 2/22/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Nita was in run erect ears, alert, and low tail. Holds a semi-loose leash. 2/23/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Nita is at the front of the kennel erect ears, whale eyes and wagging tail. Holds a tight leash, erect ears and loose body. 2/25/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching nita she was standing by the kennel door with a slow waggy tail, ears erect, neutral body. She walked on a loose leash to an outside kennel. Going back into eval she went into the kennel no issue. 3/8/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: panting and flinching during intake kept tail tucked. 3/9/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: at front of kennel, I leashed as dog exitd. Walked on a loose leash with a high sweeping tail, relaxed body. WHen placing back into run the leash came off when walking down row, dog had zoomies and began to play bow to the dogs that she was passing running down the row. Was able to leash easily and place into kennel. 3/11/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Behavorial, barking, dilated eyes, pursed lips, unable to evaluate/ see hotspot due to behavior. Will pull out for vet at a later time if need be. 3/16/2025: Walking up to the kennel this morning for AM feeding, Nita was jumping on the kennel door, tense body and forward barking. But when taking her out of the kennel, I was able to place the leash on her and she walk out of the kennel readily. While walking Nita to the dog run, her body became relax and walked in a loose leash. In the run, after removing the leash, she started running around the dog run and had the zoomies. 📝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: T25-024289 03/11/2025 52.0 lbs DERMATITIS Temperature : F Behavorial, barking, dilated eyes, pursed lips, unable to evaluate/ see hotspot due to behavior. Able to evaluate dorsal rear which was red and alopecic. The dog jumped up and was standing up so was able to evaluate ventral abdomen where shaved for OVH procedure and is moderately red.
