She has come down with an upper respiratory infection and would benefit from a quiet and loving foster home. 🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙 Playgroup Assessment 1/7: dog had shy energy and mostly stayed to herself. Didnt mind the others but didnt show too much interest in interacting with the group. Sat and layed down enjoying relaxing to self PG 1 Social, Dainty/Gentle 🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙 Shelter Observations 12/24: P is growling and showing teeth at this time 12/24: not much movement sweet and friendly likes pets takes treats slowly of hand 🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙 Medical Notes 01/07/25 09:37 Patient was observed today, alert and responsive during kennel side examination. There was evidence of Sneezing, Slightly Crusty Purulent nasal discharge in left/right/both nares. We have started our standard protocol for CIRDC (Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex) with Doxycycline. This antibiotic therapy is intended to help prevent secondary infections and support the pet?s health while the pet naturally resolves CIRD, with a normal treatment length of 5-7 days. Medical will continue to monitor the patient to ensure symptoms are resolving, if not there could be a change in antibiotics prescribed by the veterinarian. Rx: Doxycycline 100mg (10mg/kg) once daily for 10 days 1/8/25: Lethargic. Labored respirations. Bilateral purulent nasal discharge. Increased lung sounds throughout lung fields. Not wanting to eat. TX: Enrofloxacin (100mg/ml) 3.4cc SQ
