About juice: Juice ACCT-A-175373 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Juice must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by WENDSDAY, OCTOBER 16TH, at 10AM. Should Juice's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Juice arrived as a police intake on 9/19 after being found as a stray. He's a strong dog who appears to be an akita-pit mix and is filled to the brim with both energy and enthusiasm. Juice is a super social boy who loves his people, but being a high energy dog he is often too excited to remember his manners. Luckily, Juice is GREAT at fetch so his energy is easily expended! He will fetch anything you throw and readily drops it. Juice also loves to run but he will need leash training before he can be a running partner. Once Juice has gotten his zoomies out he is ready to soak up pets and hugs, leaning his whole body into you with a wagging tail and soft eyes. He is also a lot calmer on leash after he gets exercise. If you are an active person looking for your partner in crime, come meet Juice today!
Juice would do best in a home with no children under the age of 12. He should also not go to a home with cats. He has been dog selective at the shelter, so must meet any other dogs in a potential adopter's home. Due to his length of stay at the shelter, Juice is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter.

Behavior note: Juice is a classic case of the vicious cycle high energy dogs get into when kenneled. He is almost always on his worst behavior because he's a dog that NEEDS to get out for exercise multiple times a day. He has all the common problems: crazy pulling, frantic/stressed, easily overstimulated, etc. He'll likely require a long decompression period once he finally does get out of here.
