Bio: EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM 10/13/24 Name: Woody Animal ID: A802273 Age: ~ 2 years Weight: 46.51 lbs. About: Woody is a handsome, calm, and gentle boy who has an unfortunate history of instability in his young life. He first arrived at the shelter on February 14, 2024, after being found as a stray. Just nine days later, he was happily reunited with his owner. However, Woody returned to the shelter on April 20, 2024, along with all other dogs from the home, as they had ongoing issues with containment. Woody is a loving young dog who deserves a home- here?s what volunteers have said: ?Woody is super handsome guy with a lean and athletic build. He?s a sweet boy too and does well with his kennelmate.? ?Woody is a calm dog who does great with a more rambunctious kennelmate. He is mellow in the play yard. He?s just an overall very sweet boy who really appreciates affection and kindness from his human friends. Very nice dog who is easy to spend time with and will steal your heart!? Unfortunately, like many dogs in long-term shelter environments, Woody has started to experience the effects of shelter decline. His high stress levels are affecting his behavior and making him more difficult to handle in this environment. Woody needs to leave the shelter for a more stable environment where he can decompress. It?s important to note that in- shelter, stress- driven behaviors, such as reactivity to other dogs, is not an indication of how a dog will behave in a home. Woody needs a long-term foster or adopter who can provide him with the care and structure he needs to thrive. He?ll need an experienced and patient person who can help him decompress. With the right environment and support, Woody has the potential to be a loyal, loving companion. He?s simply not suited for the loud, chaotic shelter life and deserves the chance to find peace in a home where he can grow and learn. Woody shares his kennel with another dog and has been playful and easygoing when meeting dogs in playgroup. He?d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it?s a good fit and needs a home without small dogs or other small pets. Please ask how you can help Woody! Adoption Process: Interested parties: ? Must visit PACC before 3pm on Sunday October 13th deadline to meet with an adoption counselor who will go over Woody?s notes and then introduce you and any dogs to him to ensure that it?s a good fit. ? Available for adoption or long-term foster care 30+ days through PACC
