9/25 Relaxed body, tilted head looking up at me with tail out and wagging. No behavior notes since intake so
marking Move Adopt. Please monitor behavior in adoptions
9/30 I approached Bella's kennel to administer a vaccine. Bella stood on all four, with neutral body language and a direct stare. I
happily talked to Bella and leashed her. Her hackles began to raise as I prepared the vaccine. When I moved my hand to
lightly muzzle Bella for the injection, she attempted to nip my fingers.
I put the vaccine away and walked her out of the building towards the grass. I walked her around to get her comfortable
with me, and she pottied, keeping her eyes on me as we walked.
I walked her over to the medical office and received help with restraint. Bella was hyperaware of my hands and a lot of
distraction was needed (cat food on the ground, happy calls with snapping fingers, double leash method, etc).
Her tail tucked and hackles raised while she was lightly muzzled. She received the injection and was offered more wet food
afterwards, eating it with her weight shifted backward.
She walked back to the adoption building with a swaying tail, and erect ears. I removed the leash once kenneled, and
offered more canned food.
