𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 I visited Eve before she was on the euthanasia list because I thought her markings were so pretty and she exhibited such a calm temperament in the kennel. I took her out with ease and she let me play dress up without issue. She was super mellow which I was surprised about since they listed her as only 1 year old. When I saw she was on the euth list, I was shocked to see her shelter notes. I didn?t see any of the behavior that they noted. Makes me think she?s just sick of being in the shelter. I hope she makes it out of there because she deserves better

𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 9/17 Approaching kennel to feed, I pull down the cover and starts to babytalk to which Eve displays a tense face, hard stare, and begins to bare teeth. I slowly pour her food but she continues to bare teeth. In order to clean her kennel, I decide to try again and leash walk her due to her doggy door being opened because of her behavior this morning. She walked gently on a loose leash with a swaying, s-shaped tail and light feet. I covered her kennel door and gave extra enrichment. When picking up enrichment, she seemed to be guarding and would bare teeth when I would get close to her as she was laying in her kennel. I redirected her using wet food and then retrieved the enrichment of the day quickly. 9/15 Citizen was passing by kennel and trying to interact with Eve through kennel door. WHen citizen placed hand on kennel she began to snarl at citizen, I stepped into row and she continued to snarl at me. Offerec her treat s Throughout the day while passing, she did not show this behavior again. Was able to step into kennel and leash her with no issues. Placing on adopt eval will monitor behavior and partialy cover kennel.
