𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 It was raining outside when I met Bellatrix so we weren?t able to go outside but Bellatrix was fine, just hanging out in her kennel. I was sad to learn that she is an owner surrender but that makes sense regarding her shy behavior. Bellatrix was timid at first and would hang her head down but let me pet her, with no issues. I gave her snacks but she wasn?t interested in eating them, in front of me. She really just wanted affection and to know that she was loved. Bellatrix warmed up pretty quickly and ended up giving me kisses! This girl is SWEET and gorgeous. I would LOVE to see her make it out of the shelter! 🖤🖤🖤
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 9/3 When I approached the kennel, Bellatrix was sitting in her Kuranda bed. I opened the door and leashed her and she walked on a loose leash to the outside runs with a loose wiggly body. While outside she was very calm and relaxed. When we were walking back inside, she walked on a loose leash. I was baby talking to her the whole way so she wouldn't stop walking and get stuck. It worked and she walked herself all the way back to her kennel. 9/2 When I approached her kennel, Bellatrix was standing by the kennel door with a relaxed body. I leashed her and she walked out slowly. She stopped many times on the way to the outside runs and she ignored treats and baby talking when I tried to get her to start walking again. When we were walking back inside, she stopped more frequently and was more stubborn about walking again. I had another ACT come help me when she wouldn't walk. The other ACT walked behind Bellatrix in the hopes to get her to start walking, and Bellatrix turned around and started to low growl at the ACT but did start walking with me on the leash. She didn't take her eyes off the ACT and was low growling the entire time we were walking with them. She walked back into her kennel on her own.
