Gem is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Gem has not acclimated well to the shelter environment and only allows for handling from select staff. With familiar select staff, she has solicited attention from them, but does have intense sensitivity around her neck area. She has escalated to growling, snapping, lunging, and thrashing during her intake, during her stay toward staff, and when attempting to leash her. Medically, Gem is apparently healthy.
