About chandler: CHANDLER is on the EUTH LIST at the ORANGE COUNTY, CA SHELTER. He needs a RESCUE COMMITMENT by 5:00pm on 02/12/2024 or he WILL BE EUTHANIZED.
CHANDLER originally came into the Orange County shelter on 11/08/2023 as a stray from the City of Anaheim.
When he first arrived at the shelter, he was scared and regularly growled at staff members. They worked with him and he became much more comfortable with leashing, petting, etc. He got along with other dogs and got to the point where he was happy to see people, easily leashed and would eagerly wag his tail for attention.
CHANDLER was adopted on 01/14/2024 but was returned on 02/04/2024 for being overprotective of the husband, and growling/ lunging at the wife.
CHANDLER'S behavior since his return to the shelter has gone back to being fearful, growling, tucked tail, etc.
CHANDLER needs someone knowledgeable with German Shepherds to work with him and provide him with the structure and guidance he needs to be the best version of himself that he can be
