About candy: 12/15 Stray |Labrador Mix| Female | 1Y6m |50 lbs |HW-
Candy is as sweet as they come! She walked on the leash slow but well, she didn?t pay any attention to other dogs on her aisle and was so happy to be outside once we got off-leash in the play area. She sniffed around quite a bit but was very happy to eat treats and accept pets. Her notes showed her to be lactating and it breaks my heart she wasn?t admitted into the shelter with her pups. I?m sure she?s so confused on why she?s here and without them, hence the timid behavior. She was fearful when we got back into her ward but didn?t give me any issues getting back into her kennel. Candy is a sweet, loving girl and deserves a second chance!

When we were walking towards south, she kept a semi tight leash and would stay behind me. when we got to south entrance she started to pancake, i had to muzzle her and carry her inside, when we got inside, i put her on the ground and we started walking again. she did not take any of my treats. placed her on adopt eval.
12/22: Candy presents a fearful body language. tucked tail, dilated pupils with whale eyes, erect ears. today i was able to walk her on a loose leash, but she was still hesitating. i kept throwing treats but she was not interested in them. i did not need to muzzle and carry her today, she walked all the way from the runs to her kennel.
12/23: When approaching kennel, Candy stayed crouched with her head down, a tucked tail and when tryinmg to leash did scoot back, I was allowed to leash her and she walked out slowly to the runs, when getting her from the runs she had a loose wiggly body and wagging tail when retrieving her but when entering the south building she resumed fearful behavior and walked slowly back to her kennel.
