Lenny is definitely confused on why he?s in the shelter. He didn?t greet me at his kennel with much enthusiasm, and was very unsure on the leash. He walked down the aisles and sniffed other dogs, but didn?t show any happiness, (or frustration) towards them. We got outside in the pen, and he really didn?t want much to do with me. I offered him treats, he declined. I pet him a few times and felt how thin he was. His hair felt very rough and coarse, and he could really use a bath. I think Lenny being shut down for me today was a sign his experience with humans has not been great throughout this life. I?m sure training, and consistent people interaction would do wonders for Lenny!
