Jacob A1889717: Jacob is a typical owner surrender: nervous and anxious in his new environment. He was quiet in his kennel, sitting right at the front door watching me eagerly but when I opened the gate to take him for a walk, he ducked and dodged the leash. Outside, his nervousness continued until another volunteer brought out a female and he was absolutely smitten. He was wagging his tail and play bowing, barking and pawing at the fence, and completely ignored her when she started to snarl at him. He does appear to know sit but getting him to corral his attention can be a bit difficult. As we went back inside, I walked him by males (Bubbles, Blu and Mitch), and he would bark at them with his hackles up, so he may do best with just a girl doggy sibling.
