Because of the severity of Popeye's wounds, he was given a single dog-on-dog test. He was friendly with the other dog. He allowed the other dog to sniff and greet him, while he sat with a wagging tail. He then slowly walked around the dog and sniffed her. He was trying to initiate play but you could tell it was hurting him so he was placed back in his kennel.
