About tonka: 🆘 On the euthanasia list 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟱/𝟮𝟮 🆘 🆘
Terrific Tonka must have a hold 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 1PM or he?ll be euthanized. We need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help.
BARC staff and volunteers say this guy is very friendly. We know he?s a long shot being an injured HW+ Staffie, but we hope someone will take a chance on him.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Super mellow in the kennel, easy to leash and walk out. Walked well on leash and was all around very calm. He was mostly concerned with finding treats on the ground, poor guy is very skinny. He seems like he?s had an extremely difficult life so far, he has scars all over his body, one of his toes appears very swollen, and his ear appears to have been ripped at some point but it?s now healed. Despite all his physical injuries, he has the sweetest disposition and the most soulful eyes. He let me pet him and gave me kisses. He even sat calmly and waited for treats. He met LISA and PRINCE and did so well handling their over the top playfulness. I really love this guy, he deserves to have a happy ending after his rough start in life
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 Gry aggrs Pitbull in the back of a vacant house he is aggressive barked at caller and ran up on him/ afraid he may try and attack kids if he get out of the back yard the backyard
5/21 Tonka has a relaxed body and a wagging tail that goes side to side. While on the leash, she is very loose and enjoys her treats and overall a wiggly body. Dog has presents friendly behaviour and remains silent in her kennel.
5/20 Wagging tail and walks on loose leash. Easy to do xrays without sedation. Let us roll him all over for rads and he would tense for the initial positioning and then relax and let us take the view. Ignores dogs who bark at him and just keeps walking with a swaying tail. Quiet in surgery kennel throughout day.
5/18 Dog greeted me at kennel door with a loose body, I opened kennel door and was able to easily leash him up. Walked out loosely. Was very patient as we waited in line for him to get his work up. He sat near me and would make eye contatc towards me. I offered treats and he ate them gently from my hand. I offered him pets while we waited. He would ook at other dogs passing by and wag his tail. For his work up I offered treats but did a light muzzle to be safe he did not resist and did very well for his work up .Walked him to new kennel with no isues. Placed treats down below and he ate them. I was able to unleash and exit kennel.
