Volunteer Notes Vol 1 Karen seems depressed on top of just feeling crummy. She had left most of her breakfast untouched, hadn?t eaten her rawhide chew, and was curled up on her bed trying to get warm. She wasn?t feeling up to going outside and I didn?t want to press her because it was clear how icky she feels - her eyes are very red and I saw snot bubbles form in her nose as I sat with her rubbing her head and ears. She has a hacking cough that has not yet produced any phlegm that i observed. As I sat and offered her pets, the sides of her mouth curled up in a smile and she appeared to welcome the comfort of my presence as she drifted off to sleep. I just have the feeling she?d be such an easygoing dog in a home and I want her to make it out so badly.
Vol 2 A1876544 Karen is asking nicely for a spa day, and we think she deserves it! This young mama LOVES being brushed and leaned so hard into our gentle scratches she almost fell over. Karen is 62lbs and a big cuddle bug - she will be happy in your lap, getting sweet pets, in a loving home.
Shelter Notes Approaching kennel, dog comes to me with a soft smile, squinty eyes, and a wagging tail as I babytalk and offer treats. I then leash her and she walks with a trot to the runs. Karen frolics around until I go back for her to which she displays a wiggly body and then gently loose leash walks back to kennel taking a few treats at a time. Karen is quiet in her kennel, she helds a relax body, soft open mouth, walks well on a loose leash Approaching kennel, Karen came to me with a soft smile, squinty eyes, and low wagging tail as I babytalk and offered treats. she was quiet in her kennel during cleaning just lying in her bed with a relaxed body, and soft facial expression approaching kennel she is standing at front of door with a hard stare that made it a bit hard to read her, I tossed treats in which she was not interested I once I opened kennel door she walked into leash had a wagging tail and walked on loose leash with a open smile mouth to outside run she ate some treats before entering outside run and after she potties she sat in front of door waiting to be brought back inside, quiet in kennel with a relaxed body. as I approached his kennel he stood in front of kennel door, when tossing treats inside his kennel he sat waiting for me to give him more treats, he had a relaxed body and wagging tail, as I walked into kennel he kept eating his treats as I fixed his bed .
