About kanelah: 🆘 On the euthanasia list Friday 5/5 🆘
Kanelah has been in and out of the BARC system. She is longing for a hold 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝗣𝗠 or she will be euthanized. We need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Kanelah's owner has let her down and at no fault of her own and has ended up on the EU list for Friday. She was found as a stray in November of 2022 and returned to owner. I guess owner really didn't care much about her because she is again at BARC picked up as a stray. Kanelah needs an owner who will love and cherish her like she deserves. Let's not let this poor girl down because she had such a crappy owner. Kanelah seems to have a lot of allergies and medical issues going on, her skin is bright pink and her eyes were swollen and watery; she has a good sized laceration on her ribcage, a gash in her front elbow, and a puncture looking wound on her back flank. Aside from those health issues, Kanelah is otherwise in good health and seems to have been well cared for in her basic needs. She is strong on a leash and would forward bark at other dogs, including Mildred, who I placed in a neighboring run. The more I observed their interaction, I think Kanelah is just an rough house/super ?in your face? type of player, as her tail was fast wagging and she would reciprocate Mildred?s play bows as they ran the fence. Sweet girl!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 3 dogs loose from this property going into vacant house across the street per post office supervisor.
5/3 ? Was passing by kennel with another dog, She began to forward bark, I tossed treats to the back of kennel while walking past with other dog She had a covering so I recovered and she continued to bark behind sheet when walking past with other dog. When appoachinf to takee out to runs she presented a semi tense body, and hackles. I tossed treats to the back which she accepted and I opened kennel door. When she approached me she sniffed my hand and then arrempted to push her head through when I was attempting to place leash on her. Walked on a very tight leash I tried offering treats to the ground to deter her but she showed no interest. I stopped to harness her and she continued to pull to the point of clawing the floor. Once harness was on she still continued to pull she has a wound on her side where the harness was and becuase of how hard she was pulling it was rubbing over the wound, I decided to remove the harness due to this. Continued to pull to run clawing at the ground. I placed her in a run with no dogs on either side. When walking back out, a dog was placed next to her and she was forward barking, with a tense body, and hackles all down back, another act tried tossing treats to deter her and she showed no interest, the other ACT brought her inside and recovered. Placing on adopt eval and will continue to monitor behavior.
5/1 - Kanelah is vocalizing in her kennel and his wounds look more open and bleed. She is still cheerfully wagging her tail and as she pulls it outside, drops of blood fall to the ground.
4/30 - Kanelah is barking in her kennel, Her wounds are more open, I do not know if because of the effort she makes when she pulls the leash outside or because she vocalizes and barks all day. I gave her double enrichments to entertain her.
Medical Notes 4/26 ? s/o: this dog has laceration type wounds on the right front later leg just below the elbow and across right side of chest. There is a puncture type wound on the right lateral thigh. The wounds are no fresh and granulation tissue is forming A: Clipped and cleaned wounds P: Per vet, already on medication

The wounds are no fresh and granulation tissue is forming a: lacerations/wounds p: dog is holdnotify from a microchip and a personal tag on collar. Will treat with 500mg Cephalexin BID x 14 days and 100mg Carprofen SID x 14 days. Dog should be clipped and cleaned tomorrow
