𝐑𝐢𝐨 needs a hold 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝗣𝗠 or they?ll be euthanized. We need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 RIO A1872655 is terrified, like most owner surrenders are. He didn?t even want to go on a walk and it didn?t help that he was stuck next to some noisey pups. Even after about 10 minutes of baby talk and treat tossing, he still avoided the leash and only took one treat from my hand. He is a BEAUTIFUL boy and does the CUTEST head tilts, which certain show his confusion. This poor boy needs a second chance, the shelter environment can definitely take a toll on amazing dogs
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 04/28 - Rio was sitting in the back of the kennel and avoided eye contact and as i tried to leash he kept pushing himself towards the wall so i used two leashes and i was able to get him leashed on and when i opened the kennel he pulled back and another act helped me move him to another kennel.
04/27 - Laying at the back of the kennel, avoiding eye contact when leashing dog kept avoiding the leash. Once I leash he pancaked on the floor I had muzzle and carry into a new kennel. 04/26 - pancakes on the floor, has to be leash muzzled and carried to kennel
𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 04/26/23: Heartworms - high positive.
