Leavert spent some time with one of our Saturday Morning Dog Walkers, and here's what they said:
"This handsome love bug is Leavert. Leavert is ready to leave the shelter and keep you active. He is a young fella who loves to play with toys. We spent most of our time in the play yard playing tug of war and he loved it. If you need a running buddy, this is the guy for you.
Leavert enjoyed his time out in the play yard soaking up the sun and enjoying the toys. He is a happy young boy who would love a person of his own to take him for walks and spoil him. "
Leavert went to playgroup on 4/14/23. He was initially friendly social and a little sexually motivated - mounting - but started playing after some handler correction. When another large male came in he started necking and sizing up the male. He was removed for persistent dominant behavior.
