Volunteer Notes: Cassius was my favorite of the day! He was curled up on the concrete floor of his kennel just happy as a clam and even the lure of a full Pupperoni wasn't enough for him to get up so I had to squat down to his level before he took it. Although a bit uncertain of all the fuss I was making, Cassius didn't mind my putting a bandana on him and did really well on our walk around the ward, as he has a very sweet disposition. He has dermatitis all over meaning his skin is red and flaky, and his fur is patchy and rough. He's young and HW-, so with a little TLC and a chance to get out alive, he will be such a prize! 😭 ❤️
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
4/12: Lying down with head on paws when I approached. I showed him the leash and he got up quickly and approached. Walked on a loose leash into new kennel with no issues.
Medical Notes:
4/11: s/o: dog has thinning hair with hairloss and scabs all over body. Skin scraping was positive for demodex
a: dermatitis generalized demodex
p: will treat with 750mg Cephalexin BID x 14 days and will need to be treated with Bravecto if moves to adoption
