Volunteer Notes suuuuuper sweet. Walked lazily outside loose leash on a Barc lead which I think is worth mentioning lol Curious of other dogs - seemed to set off butters but they?re both intact males. Completely fine with hornet and Cleo. Very treat motivated. Seems a bit lame in the back end. Barc employee said they had that noted. Gentle kisses and leans in for attention. sweet sweet boy. has some scars/ healing wounds on his face and def on the skinny side. All of those things mixed with his somewhat lame back end and he obviously has a rough year. but despite that he is so gentle and sweet
Shelter Notes Virgo was in front of the kennel door and as i leashed him he walked lose leash and pottied and ate the trai;l of treats i offered and as i opened the kennel door he went straight in before i could even toss treats in the kennel. Greets at the front of the kennel while presenting wiggly body, wagging tail and soft close mouth. Treat motivated will follow the trail of treats during his walk. When leashing Virgo, he stands calm with his tail wagging very fast, face tense. Once on leash he begins pulling at the end of the leash to sniff around. When offered baby talk, treats, and clicking noises he ignores them adn continues pulling for a bit, before turning around to run up to me and jump up. To curb this behaviour i use a treat in my hand to gently lure him off, turning my body to deny him the ability to jump, and then when he jumps up again i repeat, until he has all 4 on the floor and then i give affection. After this little training bit he will now take treats with a gentle mouth and walks with a semi loose leash. Stands at the front of the kennel while he presents loose body, neutral ears, soft close mouth and wagging tail. Remains calm and quiet in kennel.
