𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 #1 Seriously I cannot understand why this girl is on the list. She shakes like a leaf in the kennel but when I walked in and leashed she immediately stood up and walked so nicely out with me. Once in the run she literally sat down and didn't move. I think she was sitting good for my pictures and then when I took off the scarf she became so happy. More happiness came when we brought a few dogs in the run next to her. Her tail started to wag and she became a little more excited. She will sit on command and is super calm and quiet. Not a mean bone in her body. Cielo would be great as a family dog. She just loves getting pets and hugs. #2 Sweet girl was shaking like a leaf but walked really well on leash and blossomed outside. She was quiet, calm, and allowed me to pet her all over. I was even able to kiss the top of her little nose. She didn?t mind any of the other dogs outside and just hung out, getting pets. Truly a great dog who will take a very short time to decompress.
𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 I have been fostering this dog for about a month. She has SO many wonderful qualities but does get very excited when she?s playing and has bitten and scratched my small children (3 and 2) while trying to play. She cannot be left unattended with them outside because she gets so excited and that is why I cannot keep her. We planned on keeping her because we liked her so much so we named her Stella. She does answer to that name. However, here is the bio I would like to share about her: Stella is the perfect balance of calm and cuddles and energy and playfulness. When inside, she loves to lay right by you. She was timid at first but warmed up quick and would follow mom around the house everywhere she went. Stella even loves to sleep with the kids at night and will stay in bed all night. She is completely potty trained and has not had a single accident. She loves other dogs and is very friendly. Our dogs are 7 and 9 and she did very well with them. She would really love to be with younger dogs that would play with her more. However, she also loves to play with people. Playing in the backyard was her favorite. She loves playing fetch with people and kids and running around the yard. She is impressively fast for her small body. Stella is the perfect size, not big or really small. She sits on command and will be very still for someone to pet her or give her belly rubs. She has the sweetest temperament and I would recommend her for pretty much any family looking for a sweet dog.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮 3/14 Cielo A1861296 was on the Euth list for 1-30-2023. She was saved and in BARC foster care with no luck finding a home for her. The foster had to return her. Below are the fosters notes. If able to help Cielo/Stella let us know. Pictures and dogs notes attached.

3/12 Approaching kennel, dog comes to me with an alert face, open mouth, and wagging tail quickly after I start to babytalk and offer treats. I notice that she prefer the meatier treats rather than the kibble as she walks gently towards the grassy area. After loose leash walking for a few minutes, she lays down and looks back at me with a relaxed mouth. I then lower my body and she rolls over exposing her belly towards me with a wagging tail and squinty eyes. I rub her belly for about a minute and then get up to redirect her back to her kennel. This time around she took more treats than before and walked back with a wagging high tail. Covered kennel door and will monitor behaviour still
1/28 Cielo was sitting at the front of the kennel with ears held back, tail tucked and shaking when I approached. She crouched down and away from the door when I opened the kennel door slightly but did not move away from me as I placed the leash on her. She slowly walked out of the kennel with her ears held back and tail held low but not tucked. While walking outside she stayed close to my side and slowly her body held a more neutral position. Going slow and using sweet talk seemed to help her the most.
1/26 Approaching kennel, dog starts to back up with whale eyes and a tucked tail as AI get closer. I start to babytalk and offer treats to which she slowly comes to me with low ears and a slow wagging tail. I then leash her an she comes out with a low head but follows me as I lead her by offering treats and making kissing noises. She focuses more on her surroundings and ignores the treats on the way to and back from the runs. After being placed in the kennel she goes directly to her bed, however, she does flinch as I remove her leash. I covered her kennel door and gave her extra enrichment.
