About benjamin: A4472628 Benjamin is a valiant and tenderhearted 5-year-old tricolor (black, tan, caramel) male German Shepherd whose owner surrendered him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on April 2nd saying he had no time for him. Weighing 97 lbs, Benjamin looks as if no one has made time for him for quite a while, and as if he's been kept outside. He came in with ticks, abrasions on his front paws, and an ear discharge, as well as fly strike, raw areas, and scabs on his ear tips (all of which are being treated, and all of which, together, mean a medical waiver is required). So, we're almost glad he was brought in, because he's being treated for his issues, and he now has a chance to be with a forever family where he'll be an inside pet and companion and a valued family member. Benjamin is easy-going, walks okay on leash, and was non-reactive to other dogs when we were with him. He is sweet, unassuming, and responsive, and he'll make an excellent addition to an active, loving family who'll take good care of him and include him in all their goings-on.For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA adoption coordinator Meena at 706-504-1810 or meena@hope4animals.org.
