About coda: A4990088 Coda is a sporty 6-year-old black-and-tan female German Shepherd whose owner left her at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 6 due to a family dispute about her care. Weighing 53 lbs, Coda is overwhelmed in the shelter environment, but she responds cooperatively to her handler. Her former owner told the shelter she is already housebroken and is good with kids and other dogs. Our volunteer discovered she already knows the sit, shake, and heel commands; we think Coda would benefit from additional socialization with other dogs because she does get excited when she sees them. German Shepherds are prized for their intelligence, and Coda strikes us as typical of the breed: she is a smart, thoughtful dog who needs a home that will provide her with stimulation and attention.
