According to the Intake Notes, someone called in saying they could hear 3 pitbulls abandoned in cages in the backyard of a vacant home barking in distress. 𝐏𝐀𝐏𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐎 is now on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Heartworms), Behavior (stressed, vocal throughout the day at customers passing by kennel, as well as when other dogs are passed by his kennel, doesn?t respond to treats)." 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 3/28/2025: INTAKE: 3 large pittbull aban in cages at a vacant home in the backyard complaining customer did not want to leave his name, you can hear the dogs barking in destress. 3/29/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Hackles up, forward stance, fixated on dogs walking by. Waggy towards me. 3/31/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel dog was in the front of kennel vocalizing and with wiggly body. I easily leashed him and he walked out well but on a tight leash with wagging tail. While outside, he just sniffed around. At times he focus on the other dogs but I was able to redirect him with baby talk. 4/4/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Papa Chetto was very vocal towards other dogs passing his kennel. He walked with a semi-tight leash, tail wagging, ears up, hackles raised, alert. When in an outside run, he playfully ran and hopped along the fence with neighboring dogs. Passing kennel, he stood tail wagging, eyes dilated, lip licked, ears up and sat for treats. 4/4/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: When assisting customer taking out dog, Papa Chetto was hard staring, then jumped up and began forward barking at other dog. 4/6/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Papa Chetto continued to be vocal throughout the day as customers passed and during am cleaning toward other dogs passing his kennel. He was not responsive to extra enrichment or treats. He quieted when he did not notice anyone passing his kennel.
