About lee: Adoption/ Rescue - NO DAS MED - MEDICAL - Needs placement by 11 AM on 04/05/25 Animal ID: A1244512 "Lee" Age: 2 Years Old Sex: Male Weight: 82.6lbs Heartworm Positive Available 04/04/25 Stray found on Pinebrook Drive 75241 Bio Lee is a 2-year-old dog who is recovering from significant injuries, including signs of pain on his left forelimb and a puncture on his right rear limb. Though timid and in pain, Lee is still in need of placement. Despite his fear aggression, which makes him unapproachable at times, he is showing resilience as he heals. He requires a patient, understanding environment where he can continue to recover and feel safe. He is a brave dog, and with the right support, he will thrive in a loving home. Shelter Observation 04/02/25 During the observation, Lee was very aware of his surroundings, He allowed me to enter the kennel and verbally interact with him. Lee accepted treats while distancing himself. While taking pictures, he did become head shy but he was calm and alert. Medical Notes 03/31/25 QAR and growls and bites the leash 04/01/25 LF appears swollen; pain meds given growls and will bite p is unapproachable due to fear aggression. administered hydro/ace right rear Im @ approx 10:15. left fore moderately lame, but does bear a significant amount of weight on ambulation. there appears to be a wound near the lateral aspect of left elbow. most notable is an effusive wound present distal to elbow over the ventral to ventrolateral aspect of the proximal antebrachium approx 1.75x1cm dermal defect with irregular margins. approx 0.75 cm deep. on the other complimenting dorsomedial aspect of same limb is a well circumscribed circular crust approx 5mm in diameter. there are also punctures present over medial aspect of the right rear limb, a very fine puncture with very mild associated dermal contusion and just distal there is a very superficial dermal well circumscribed defect approx 6-7mm in diameter that is desiccated/non effusive. slight rotral abrasion present. radiographs reveal a complete comminuted proximal diaphyseal fracture of the left ulna with fracture fragments radiating caudally. there is associated periosteal reaction and fragments no longer have distinct margins consistent with chronicity of at least 14 days.
