From our observations, she appears to be a bit shy and may need some time to warm up to new people and surroundings. In the playgroup, Carolina seemed most at ease with other gentle dogs in a low-energy setting, suggesting she might do well in a relaxed home atmosphere. While she may not be overly affectionate at first, with patience and understanding, Carolina could blossom into a wonderful companion. Come meet Carolina today! Carolina has become sick with a URI and is needing more treatment than is available in our shelter. Medical 03/20/25 08:07: Pt has no signs of diarrhea, stool present in shelter kennel is firm. Blood present in kennel, possibly in heat due to no significant finding of injuries. 3/26-has lost 3#, purulent nasal discharge, lethargic/depressed, not eating, pink tacky mm, increased skin tent. Previously received pen G underdose. Started on injectable enro and pen G, Entyce PO, and LRS SQ Shelter Observation 3/13/25- Doesn't seem to care for human affection, will sniff you only through the kennel and when approached she will back up. Playgroup Not quite confident in the yard yet. Felt more comfortable in a lower energy environment with other gentle dogs. Didn't feel comfortable enough to participate at this time.
