Approaching the dog run, Polly presented tense body, wrinkle forehead and low tuck tail. Polly walk on a loose leash but walked slowly and flinched with any little noise. 3/18/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Polly still tense in the kennel, with wrinkle forehead, and tight close mouth. Polly walks well on a loose leash with tail tuck, and still presenting a tense body. In the kennel, Polly is quiet and is mostly laying on her kuranda bed. 📝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: T25-032366 03/20/2025 46.0 lbs URI Temperature : F S/O: Dog is having thick yellow nasal discharge. A: DDx CIRD P: Move to Tx room and initiate treatment; Rx Doxycycline 200mg SID x 10 days T25-031582 03/19/2025 46.0 lbs OTHER Temperature : F S/O: left nares is more stenotic compared to the right nares. There is more hyperkeratosis around the left nostril. the nostril is patent with airflow. no coughing or nasal discharge A: unilateral hyperkeratosis ddx parasympathetic nose P: the left nose is more dry and causing some extra keratin buildup due to decrease nasal gland production. Suspect causes can be due to trauma vs. inflammation vs. neoplasia vs. idiopathic facial neuritis. L nostril has dried crusty dc around it and on top of her nose. Does not seem like URI but possibly secondary to the nostril issue?
