Bio:
Red is a 4-year-old gentle soul who takes his time getting to know new friends. From our volunteer observations, he tends to be a bit reserved at first but may warm up with patience. Red seems to appreciate a calm environment and has been observed socializing with other dogs once he feels comfortable. This laid-back pup might be the perfect companion for someone looking for a quieter canine friend. Come meet Red today!
Playgroup Assessment
2/17: Needing some time to warm up to the other dogs. Gives corrections if feeling overwhelmed. Would socialize at times.
Shelter Observations
2/18: When I approached Red's kennel and knelt down to his level his tail wagged a little but he still gave off nervous energy, giving me sideways looks. I brought my hand a few inches from the door so he could sniff but he began to growl in a low tone. Needs time to warm up.
Volunteer Observations
2/16: Cautious
Warms Up;Wants to Sniff
Red has perky ears which makes him seem attentive. He walked up to the door as I opened the kennel. As we walked he was cautious but not overly skittish. He let me pet him but was mostly disinterested in me and the ball.
