From our observations, he seems to be a bit shy and may need some extra patience and understanding. Growling on exam. Cellulitis noted on right side of face. Eating ok. Concerned could have infection secondary to rabies pole trauma on intake. Unable to examine oral cavity due to behavior. RX: Clavamox 375mg 1T BID 10 days RX: Carprofen 100mg 1T SID 7 days RX: Carprofen 25mg 1T SID 7 days 03/12/25 09:33 The dog is BAR. No sign of URI at this moment. 03/11/25: NSF of any coughing, Pt appears too skittish, will continue to monitor. 03/06/25 12:30 P is QAR, no swelling of muzzle. 03/05/25 10:18 Pain was Given during AM medication Round 03/01/25 11:11- Bleeding from mouth and muzzle appears swollen. Carprofen injection given last night by ASO. Used weight from adoption exam (61#). Per DVM, start meds listed below Rx: carprofen 100mg 1.5 tabs SIDx 4 days gabapentin 100mg 2 tabs SIDx 5 days Playgroup Assessment 3/3: Not confident walking on the leash and was brought to the yard in a rolling cart. Anxious in the yard and would roam around in search of an exit. Didn't show interest in the other dogs at this time, but would allow greetings from them and didn't mind their company.
