Abby is a resilient and loving pup who came to us injured from the community. Despite everything she?s been through, she remains sweet, gentle, and full of heart
Shelter Observation 03/11/25: During the observation, Abby was a a sweet girl. She allowed the staff to enter the kennel, accepted treats, and enjoyed rubs. Abby was very affectionate.
Medical
03/10-Medical Departments Findings:Too painful, sedated for exam. Generalized abrasions- face/chin/AD/L lateral neck/L lateral abdomen/ventral thorax/tail and all four limbs. RF-elbow/axilla/carpal pad/digit #1 pad, RH-medial thigh/ caudal hock/tarsus, LF-axilla/elbow/carpal pad, LH-entire lateral aspect. Gave carprofen injection and first doses of cefpo, probiotic, and gaba.
03/12/25: Doing very well. Wounds appear to be healing.
*Bite History at another shelter*
03/12/25 Pet has a previous bite history rabies quarantine on 5/30/24. Categorized as a minor bite. The victim was out walking their dog when they saw Abby A1242624 loose. The victim tried to catch Abby as she had seen her loose before and knew where she lived. Abby was going after the victim's dog, and bit the victim in the calf/shin area. The bite photo shows multiple punctures and a few minor scratches on the side of the victim's lower leg
