CONFIDENCE BUILDING
Eval Comments: He had a wiggly body and soft eyes as the runner approached. He was easily leashed in kennel but required lots of coaxing
to exit the kennel. Once out, he would walk a few feet and then resist and stop. The runner had to coax him constantly to continue walking to the catch pen. Once in, he was wary of the other dogs. Stretching his body with concemed eyes and low head, briefly sniffing them through the fence. He was wary of the collar with a low body and concemed eyes but tolerated it being clasped around his neck. He was timid entering the yard with a low body. He sat at the gate and watched the other dogs briefly with concemed eyes. He appeared to lack confidence, hesitating to approach a few who walked by. When he was approached by a few dogs eventually, he became overwhelmed, leaning away with a low body without offering any wamings. He then roamed the yard for a few minutes, appearing to relax while exchanging calm greetings with the other dogs. He remained wary of others playing and kept his distance. After a few minutes he seemed to be interested in play, tapping his feet as the others ran by him but he didn't join in yet. He was timid with the handlers as he approached them but quickly warned up with affection. As time passed, he continued to relax. He had a relaxed body and open mouth pant. He began chasing after other dogs playing with a wiggly body. As soon as they would tum to play with or chase him, he would shut down and lose interest. He repeated this several times and never fully engaged in play. He needs confidence building and further socialization. Due to the fatal attack of multiple goats off property, he will be designated as rescue only and will require a known history of aggression disclosure form. RESCUE ONLY WITH KNOWN HISTORY OF AGGRESSION DISCLOSURE, NO LIVESTOCK (REQUIRED), CALM DOGS (RECOMMENDED), MEDIUM ENERGY
