Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging an animal.
True to her name, Moxxy is bursting with energy and personality! This excitable gal greets you with full-body wiggles and toe taps, thrilled to make a new friend. She?s a social butterfly who loves interacting with people and is always ready to bring some fun to your day. Moxxy is very handler-oriented and adores attention, often leaning in for pets, hopping into laps, and darting between her humans for cuddles. She?s food-motivated and knows ?sit?, though she can be a bit snatchy, so offering treats with an open palm works best. If you?re looking for a playful, goofy pup who?s all heart and energy, Moxxy is ready to wiggle her way into your life and your heart. Come meet her and see why she?s impossible to resist!

Behavior notes:
2/10 per staff: Moxxy got out for a dog meet today and was pretty indifferent towards the dog but very fixated on jumping and mouthing at her handler. She tore their gown off almost immediately and was very overexcited. At a certain point, she was so fixated on jumping and the handler was having trouble redirecting her. We ended up switching dogs so I could take Moxxy and try to use some treats to help her out. She did better with the way I had the leash gripped and although distracted, started taking interest in treats to redirect her! She also will pick anything up off the ground and is quick with it. She more so seems interested in having something in her mouth than trying to actually eat everything. She picked something plastic up off the ground that was about the size of a fist. When I tried to get it from her she clenched down on it. I was able to get her interested in a treat then put in on the ground for her to swap out, but am worried about her accidentally swallowing something in the future. She then picked up a huge stick that I let her proudly carry back to the door. She gave me no issues returning to the kennel, and definitely seemed wiped out from all the energy she just exerted. She's very sweet but would benefit from someone who has experience with a high energy dog! She'd love lots of exercise and enrichment activities.
Per Volunteer 1/25/25: Moxxy is a super wiggly Mama! She greeted me with a very loose wiggly body, she was jumping up as I tried to leash her so it took a few tries to leash. She was very jumpy while walking and leaving the shelter. Seems like she was just very excited. In the yard she?s a whole bunch of fun! She loves to romp and chase toys. She is pretty jumpy but really just wants to get love from you. Take pets all over. Gives me kisses. Got a little overstimulated when jumping up and started to leash bite for a second, then I had her do sit and she calmed down. Got a bit mouthy with my walkie-talkie when she got excited. Very loving girl just very hyper! Just needs some training on jumpiness. No issues returning to kennel
Per volunteer 1/24: Moxxy is a doll! She was so excited to be on a day trip. She is a bit jumpy but she?s just excited to go. She just needs some basic manners but really good with walking on the leash. Gentle pulling but manageable. Really sweet and wants to be next to you

HANDLING :
In the room Moxxy was very wiggly and social. He is very handler oriented and was doing toe taps and full body wiggles in the room, interacting with us. She allowed all over handling and was very goofy and would lean in for pets, hop up on our laps and dart back and forth between us. She was very food motivated and showed knowledge of sit, but could be snatchy so using an open palm is best!
