She greeted the runner at the gate with soft eyes and a neutral tail wag, allowing the leash to be placed over her head easily. She walked well, next to the runner, on the way to the catch pen. She was tense entering the pen as she noticed the other dogs. She slowly approached the play yard fence with a high stiff tail, hackles raised and alert ears. She froze as she approached the fence, sniffing in their direction without fully committing. She relaxed with the runner, allowing him to clasp the collar around her neck easily. She entered the yard and focused on a male shepherd and froze in front of him with a forward leaning posture. The shepherd would not come up to her and remained several feet away from her. She then focused and postured towards a playful female shepherd. She stood next to the shepherd, frozen while side-eyeing her. The handler stepped in and separated the two. She slowly walked around the yard with a postured body, intently watching the other dogs. After a few minutes a female shepherd came up playfully. She appeared to be interested in play, tapping her feet a few times but the went back to a tense, postured body. She appeared to be defensive of the other dogs, waiting for them to react first before she would react. A muzzle was placed on her and she freely roamed the yard. She slowly roamed by herself, continuing to posture around the other dogs. She did not appear comfortable at any time around the other dogs nor were other dogs coming up to greet her. Eventually the female shepherd came back up to her playfully and pawed at her side. She had a full body tremble and began to slowly pace/stalk behind the shepherd. She was removed from the yard at this time. She did solicit affection from the handlers with a loose body and soft eyes. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, NO DOGS (REC), LOW ENERGY
