About gamja (: She lost her foster and back at barc and on the euthanasia list
GAMJA (FORMERLY SALO) was picked up as a
stray on 12/4/24 along with JONAS (A1982421). They were both placed on the 12/21/24 euthanasia list and they were both safe in BARC foster homes. JONAS is still in his foster home, but GAMJA was just returned by her foster on 1/14/2025 due to personal constraints. Former notes indicate that she greeted staff marching on all four feet with a wagging tail! She was easy to leash and she walked on a loose leash out to the runs where she plated fence tag with neighboring dogs! She returned to her kennel without issue and where she was calm.
Notes from her foster say, "This puppy is truly
incredible-she's so sweet, affectionate, and just a
joy to be around. She deserves so much better than to die in a shelter, and I'm doing everything I can to find her the second chance she deserves." Since being back at BARC, she seems stressed and she has now been placed on the euthanasia list for "Behavior (Lunging forward with dilated pupils. Biting at kennel door when other dogs were being walked past kennel.)." She is already spayed and she is heartworm negative so she is ready to leave the shelter with a rescue group today!
