𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 We were not able to meet Canelo, but if you want to help meet the animals, please reach out to us!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 10/8 Approaching kennel, Canelo holds a high tail wag, alert face, and slightly open mouth pant as I babytalk to him. Dog pushed through the kennel door opening and would ignore treats being offered to redirect. Once leashed, dog came out with a forward leash and would fixate on other dogs (would simultaneously pull and forward bark towards them). Once placed in run, dog began to non-stop vocalize, paw at the kennel door, jump up on the fence, and even bared his teeth at another dog that passed by. Once placed back, dog kept lunging at the dogs I was placing back in their kennel unless redirected with treats. 10/7 While walking a dog past his kennel canelo was covered he rushed towards kennel door and begsan to forward bark behind blanket. I tossed a bunch of treatgs to back of kennel. Readjusted covering and offered enrichment 9/30 Approaching kennel Canelo presents a tense body, stiff tail, whale eyes. I open kennel and step in and when I go to leash he loweres head and tenses up. I tell him to come and he follows me outside. Walks on a tight leash in a zigzag pattern. Offered chicken and he stopped to eat a few but lost interest quickly. One placed in kennel dog stayed at front of run. Walked back into kennel on a loose leash. I was able to remove leash with no issues. Canelo prefers to lounge on outside portion of kennel. Will continue to monitor behavior
