𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 This boy is fun and loves to play. After leashing up he knew exactly the way to head out to the outside runs. He?s smart! He?s eager to please and loved retrieving the tennis ball! He?s under 2 years old so he?s just a big puppy that wants to play. He has that puppy floppiness about his body. So cute.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 9/28 Approaching kennel, Cm is continuously digging at the doggy door as well as whinnying/vocalizing as I clean his kennel as well as when being left in outside kennel after leash walking. Upon leashing, dog came out pulling heavily on the leash and would turn around to jump on me with a wiggly body. I redirected his attention using treats a few times but once placed back in kennel, he kept vocalizing until kennel door was covered and raw hide was given. 9/30 Approaching kennel he had front paws on kennel door. I offer meaty treats to the ground which he accepts and leash while he is distracted. Walks on a tight leash but I was able to redirect using treats. Did begin to vocalize in run and when placed back into kennel. Offered rawhide and covered kennel which helped. 10/1 Chipmunk presents a wiggly body, fast wagging tail, soft facial expression, and floppy ears. i enter his kennel and he starts jumping on me, he jumped high enough he licked my face. i threw treats to distract him but he did not take them. 10/02 For both AM and PM walks Chipmunk walked with very tight leash out through courtyard and to runs. After PM walk citizens walked him in courtyard and he was still pulling; body low to ground, heavy breathing, clawing at ground to move forward with nose to ground. Was not difficult to leash; kept all four paws on ground though wiggly but would pull forward once leashed. Throughout the day he stood at front of kennel with tail out and wagging, looking up at customers with wiggly body and whole head moving, soft expression. Licking fingers through bars when pet. 10/3 Relaxed body, wagging tail as I approach kennel, easy to leash and walked on a loose leash in building but once outside he began to pull on leash and ignored my redirection attempts I decided to place dog back inside kennel after walking around grassy area and relieving himself due his strong pulling. 10/4 Chipmunk is seen with a high tail wag, loose body and vocalizing during am feeding. On the walk to the runs he holds a very forward leash, paws digging into the ground, ears pulled back and a high tense tail. As we approach the runs his hackles raise up, he walks right into the run and goes to the side of the run to meet neighbor. I noticed as I was placing other dogs in the runs, Chipmunk would vocalize at the dog and at me as I walked away from run. When placed back into kennel Chipmunk continued to vocalize. I covered kennel and gave extra enrichment. 10/4 vocalizing in reaction to other dogs repeatedly whenever i walk away. placing on adopt eval 10/10 Chipmunk greets me at the kennel door by vocalizing loudly. He jumps on the kennel door and does not respond to down or sit. He pulls tightly to and from the potty yards. When in the runs he is trying to instigate fence fights however the other dogs were ignoring him and yet he was trying to fence fight with them. I am putting him on behavior consult.
