𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 10/8 Approaching kennel, Kyle is jumping up on his covered kennel door while holding open mouth pant, red eyes, and forward barking. I redirected momentarily with treats but dog ignored and still kept jumping up/pushing through the door opening. Once I managed to place the leash on him, he began to immediately pull heavily on the leash. Kyle proceeded to pull without redirection from treats or babytalk and would forward bark at the other dogs while passing by the runs. Noticed that once leaving him in the run, he began to pace from side to side as well as jump up with a very open mouth and red eyes. When I came back, dog was non-stop barking and pawing at the gate while also having a lot of foam around his mouth. After leashing, dog still pulled but I managed to make a harness on him which helped reduce the pulling. Once placed back, he goes back to non-stop barking especially when entering the row until giving a raw hide to keep him busy. Would recommend to leash walk with a harness. 10/7 Was a move adopt in NB today. Noticed that a dog was constantly barking in run. When I began to approach to bring inside he was jumping up on run gate, red eyes, heavily panting, spinning, and barking. While trying to leash he kepts jumping up making it hard to leash I tried offering treats and he showed no interest. I told him to sit and wait which he followed and I stepped into run to leash. Walked ona very tight leash. Tried redirecting with treats and he showed no interest. Stopped to harness him which seemed to help. When placed into kennel dog showed same behavior. High pitch barking,jumping up on kennel door, heavily panting/salivating. Will cover kennel and monitor behavior.
