Delmonico is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Delmonico has not acclimated well to the shelter environment and is not allowing for minimal handling. He flinches and becomes tense during leashing when being taken out of the kennel. Once out, Delmonico remains stiff and has either refused to walk at times or return to his kennel. He does not respond to handlers' attempts to lure or coax him with treats, toys, or soft voices. Delmonico has escalated to growling, thrashing, and hard starting at staff when further attempts are made to get him to walk. Once back in his kennel, he bares his teeth, snarls, and bites at the hook that is used to remove the leads. Medically, Delmonico is healthy.
