Volunteer 1: Zuko is a sweet, sensitive soul with big brown eyes and a healthy caramel coat. He climbed in my lap to give me kisses and say hello and then he was happy to explore the yard and meet other dogs through the fence. Zuko is 45lbs and ready to stroll out of the shelter and into a new forever home.
Volunteer 2: What a sweet boy; he absolutely loved getting pet and getting scratches. He was pretty itchy. He didn?t really have too much interest in the ball, but he was treat motivated. He walked well on the leash. I didn?t notice any of the behaviors noted in his shelter notes. He still seemed young. When I was petting him he was so excited he kind of put his mouth on my arm in a playful way. He?s a great size and a very nice color. His fur would blend in great with some tan cream carpet lol Also remember if you adopt Barc will cover the heartworm treatment?come save this boy!

9/15 Approach the kennel Zuko was at the front of the kennel door with a tense body and dilated eyes. Zuko semi-pulls on the
leash with a high stiff tail. In the kennel, Zuko is standing at the front of the kennel door vocalizing non stop. Placing him on
Adopt eval, covering and will monitor.
9/18 Approaching the kennel, Zuko still helds a tense body, dilated eyes. Opening the kennel door, he tries to run out of the
kennel but was able to leash him before running out and Zuko walks well on a loose leash. While in the run, I will enter the
run and Zuko will start running away from me, I sat on the bench and when he came up to me I petted him and place the
leash on him
9/19 Approaching kennel, Zuko has a semi-tense body. He walked with a semi-loose leash. When passing kennel, he was laying
on his cot.
9/20 Zuko presented similar behavior to the previous note. He was more relaxed today, lying down on his cot for most of the day.
9/21 kept head low while placing leash, walked out slowly with semi-tight leash behind me, tail down walking out
to runs. Once unleashed in runs tail was up, wagging and he was walking quickly around run. When I returned later to take
him back inside, he was evasive, trying to run around me or further in run away from leash. Followed him in and once he
tried to go around me and I stood in front of his way, he sat down with ears back while I put leash on. Tight leash back to
kennel, stopped walking and would not walk into kennel, leaning at end of leash, not interested in treats tossed into kennel.
I let leash go slack and he walked into kennel on his own, still didn't eat treats.
