𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Lacey was growling and forward barking when I first approached with a male volunteer. Once he left and I tossed some treats however she calmed down and settled. She?s definitely scared here and doesn?t know who to trust 😢. She has a wound on her front right paw that looks like it may be hurting her as well! She needs a nice quiet place to decompress and let her heal!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄: Dog had to be tranquilized due to aggression.
2/14 1st attempt: Dog was sitting in back of kennel with tense body tucked tighly in the corner. Dog's eye were dilated and when I started to crouch at the kennel door and use baby talk, dog started to snarl and show teeth. When I attempted to slightly open the kennel door, dog's ears went back and hackles raised. Unable to complete rest of of work up at this time. 2nd attempt: Approaching kennel dog is showing all teeth, lunging in back of kennel. Did not take treats, i made a long leash and tossed leash until on. Once on dog slowly stood up walking out of kennel to next kennel with tail tucked, ears back and hackles up.
