𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
Pretty Pantera! Pantera surprised me today! I didn?t know what I would get from her as every time I passed by her kennel she just laid there, not batting an eye for my attention. As soon as I approached her and opened her kennel, she brightened up quickly and came to greet me with a wagging tail. It?s like she knew I would come to her at some point but had no problem being patient and waiting her turn. Pantera is HW+, and very skinny. You can tell she?s been on the streets a while and has probably had multiple litters of pups. Pantera was eager to get pets and eat her pup cup! She walked well on the leash, even though she was nervous to come out of her kennel. She sniffed a few of her roommates but seemed mostly uninterested. She offered me a few kisses and but mostly wanted to hang by her kennel. Pantera has a sweet demeanor and is stressed here in the shelter. She will need time to decompress once she?s out and a loving home to help build her confidence!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
2/10 Approaching kennel, Pantera came to me with a wagging tail and low ears as I offered treats to leash her. Dog walked with a slightly forward leash but did take a few treats (soaked in chicken-broth) along the way to the runs. Once placed back, I noticed her vocalizing in her kennel as I passed by as well as when other dogs would do so as well. I gave her extra enrichment and covered her kennel door.
