About tank: 1/30 EuthReq/Male/Staffy Mix/2Y/72lbs/HW-
𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Tank wasn?t too sure of me when I initially approached his kennel but started wagging his tail as soon as I offered him treats. He was insanely hard to get a good photo of as every time I tried to open the door, he would try to wedge his little (big) face out! Tank is a BIG dog and has a beautiful brown coat. He seems to be in good physical condition too. His notes said he had an eye injury but I didn?t see that today. I can imagine him being strong on the leash and probably pretty playful too!
𝗣𝗹𝗲𝐚: Tank was turned in after he went missing for three days and came back sick, per owner. When the owner found Tank, he was not interested in eating and had some GI issues but since he has been at the shelter, he is eating/drinking normally and there has been no issues with vomiting/diarrhea. Please let us know if you can help Tank, he is available immediately.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 1/30: On intake, dog had loose body and soft eyes. Walked on loose leash, came when called by name. I opened kennel door, dog walked in without prompting and turned around and sat. Removed leash and closed kennel. 2/02: Dog was at the front of the kennel with his tail up high and standing facing foward to the kennel door. I leashed and he was on a foward leash. High wagging tail and was sniffing around outside. He was looking at other dogs when I brought him outside. He was marking outside and staring at the other dogs. Coming back in he was still on a foward leash. However did go into the kennel for treats. 2/06: Tank was outisde in the runs with hackles up, low growling and then forward barking at others dogs that walked close to his gate. Approaching kennel, Tank greeted me with dilated eyes, open mouth, panting, wiggly body, and fast wagging tail. As I was opening the door, he was trying to push it open with head and trying to squeeze through. I tossed treats to distract but he ignored. Had to lasso the leash on him. He walked on a tight leash and pulled me with him. Kennel was clean, once i placed him in runs, he quickly went potty. When getting him from the runs, he was sitting in front of door, once i opened it he got up with wiggly body and walked into my leash. Coming back inside, he had a more relaxed body and was not pulling as much, still walked on a tight leash. 2/07: dog had a loose body, high wagging tail and soft mouth as i approached. as i opened kennel door dog attempted to push his head through and out. was able to leash dog and we began our walk. dog walked on a tight leash while ignoring trail of treats and baby talk. once outside dog immediately went potty in the grass. was able to lead dog into outdoor kennel without any further issues. once it was time to bring him back inside he once again walked on a tight forward leash while ignoring treats.
