About roco: 12/17 Foster Return | Male | Labrador Retr Mix | 1Y 1M | 62 lbs | HW- 2/4/23 Stray to Foster to Adopt 2/26/23
Vol #1 I didn?t get to spend much time with Roco but from our brief encounter I really enjoyed him! He knows sit for treats and was pretty calm in his kennel. He let me pet him and did cute tippy taps as well!
Vol #2 He has been with a BARC Foster for months. I was there when they were doing intake and he caught my attention. Super friendly, and the ACT?s were all in love with him. I actually watched him take treats and catch a few. Went over to him and all he wanted was some scratches and love. He walked great on leash with the ACT.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 1/2 - Roco seemed to be neutral upon approach. However, the dog would forward bark at other dogs and growl as well. Once leashed, the dog had a semi loose leash. the dog would present a high wagging tail and would sniff the ground and stop at times. Roco would scan his surroundings and proceeded to walk. During the runs, roco would remain neutral. When a dog approached him, he would bark and growl towards them
1/1 - When I approached to his kennel, Roco was vocalizing, presents alert ears and heavy panting. treats motivated and jumping boy. So I tossed treats until the runs. There he was very vocal, lunging against fence, hackles up and dilated pupils. When I returned him to the kennel I tossed treats all time and give him a rawhide. The I put a blanket in the door of the kennel.
12/31 - Roco keeps jumping on the kennel door, whenever i am approaching him. he has a wagging tail, erect ears, heavy panting. When i took him out of the kennel, he would start jumping on me, and often would try to jump towards my face, i had to walk him with a really short leash to keep him from jumping towards me, while also throwing treats to distract him, but he would not care for the treats. at the runs when i took the leash off, he still tried jumping on me, and i kept throwing treats to distract him, but he still did not care, i had to throw the entire bag of treats, to be able to leave him there and not get on me.
