what a little chonk! He was very sweet and mellow and has some beautiful brindle coloring! He was easy to walk and let me pet him all over. He met SUZIE and did great! He def could go on a little bit of a diet but how can you resist giving him treats with those soulful eyes? He?s soft and just a little short stack. He went potty on our walk and took treats gently. No issues putting him back in his kennel either.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 1/2 dog is vocal in the mornign as i walk other dogs and when i walk him he walks loose leash and very treat motivated and when citizens walk in the row dog begins to be vocal causing the rest of the dogs to also be very vocal and when i toss chicken over the kennel dog quiets down but as i walk away dog begins to again be vocal.
12/26 Noticed Simon starts to jump up on the kennel with dilated pupils, open mouth pant, and also vocalization as I walk other dog in front of his kennel. Once leashed, dog walks with a high tail to the runs and frolicks around. On the way back, he held a looser body but once placed in kennel Simon started to get vocal again and panted a lot. Covered his kennel door and gave extra enrichment.
12/9 Seeks affection from people but when seeing other dogs being taken out of their kennels while in his kennel would begin high pitched barking, bouncing on stiff front legs. Covered during cleaning and he was quiet when blanket was up and dogs were walking by, but still staring through crack in sheet. When it was his turn to exit kennel he walked with semi-loose leash ahead of me, sniffing other dogs through kennel doors with stiff wagging tail before continuing to walk. Maintained semi-loose leash as he walked outside and pottied in grass, and in runs went up to other dogs, presenting side and wagging tail as they sniffed each other. Covered back up once back in kennel.
12/8 Move adopt to NB this AM. Standing at run gate after moving over, slow wagging tail as I approached. Walked with semi-loose leash ahead of me, tappy toes and tail curled up over back. Placed in kennel but began forward barking, whale eyes, hopping on stiff front legs. Covered with sheet throughout the rest of AM walking and he was quiet. Marking adopt eval to monitor.
